Great to see this was shot on film.
Hard to believe that the Panaflex is coming up for 50 years of service in a couple of years.
Kaminski and Spielberg did some of their best work in years. The idea to film a musical’s choreography with the camera looking inside and around the dancers with dollies, push ins and cranes, instead of wide shots from afar was a stroke of genius. It made you feel the energy and intensity of the dance and become part of it.
I believe they profoundly deserve the Oscar this year for best direction, undoubtedly though it will go to Jane Campion and TPOTD.
Well the question is, has. SS ever shot on digital ?
