One of the greatest and most complex films ever. Time and space are so amorphous and meaningful that it is even a simplification to say that this is a stream of consciousness film. Bakhtin’s “chronotope” might help, also Deleuze’s “time crystals”, but first one should give in to to the flux of time and the magnetic imagery of the film. When you watch the scene of fire in the first part of the film you get the feeling that you see a barn fire for the first time in your life. At least I did. And I had this feeling of the “firstness” of experience when I watched it even for the 50th time.
Splendid 👍
Another masterpiece of andrei tarkovsky
Nothing like this film
Thought this was in England for a second..
Let us fall together.
The wind wave scene is majestic
