Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, masterpiece especially season 1. Originally it started out as a reboot of their first Live action TV series UFO, but it developed into its own story.
It seemed a lot of scifi shows of the seventies experienced writers and directors that got off topic way too quickly. Space 1999, Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers. Though I heard George Lucas is the reason Battlestar Galactica lasted only one season. The other 2 just changed so drastically from their 1st season that they doomed the shows to failure
This was such a good show! Too bad towards the end they went off on such a tangent; and the quality of the show DROPPED dramatically. By the way; scientists have said an explosion powerful enough to tear the moon from its orbit would actually have destroyed the moon.
From Season two. Most fans of show agree that season one was better, it was more magical, more mystical and some would say, even more spiritual. Also had a much better opening sequence and music was better.

Man I loved this show. I had the waterguns that looked like the gun in the show and then the larger version that projected images on the wall using discs with cutouts on them. I remember after Christmas we had a kind of “show and tell” in our Grade 2 class and one of the kids brought in the large action figure sized Eagle ship.
I remember the show as a little kid in the seventies and I saw the toys but I only recently started watching it on Tubi and I’m like oh wow that show is really good
Salvage One , starring Andy Griffith .Good concept for a show but never caught on. . Probably ratings at the time with other science fiction shows. The pilot episode plus only 2 more episodes made. Can be bought on Amazon.
