I'm so grateful that you expose your own failures in your projects. I am venturing into the same market and it's great to see that humility sells better than fake expertise. Cheers!
08:47 the beauty of woodworking – build stuff to build stuff btw, it took me like 20 videos to figure out who you remind me of: john goodman in big leboswki 😀
Woodcraft can you please make a location in Fort Wayne, IN the closest one to me is 3 hours away. The woodworkers are out here but we just can't drive 3 hours a day to buy stuff we need that day.
I like how, after everything is connected s**t just escalates from pure happiness and screams of accomplishment to incredible "AAAH MY SHOULDER" Pain and screams of John suffering… love it tho😁
In indonesia, we do that (join 2 block of wood block) from 30 year ago, please come here and see closer, i swear you will super interest because we do use very simple equipment (hammer, chisel & hand for sure 😄)
🤣🤣🤣this might be my favorite video you’ve done. Tried something new, nearly fell on your a** like 7 times, and made some measuring mistakes – yet still persevered until you guys got it. Well freakin done boys! Looks awesome! 💯💪🏽
Funny that you say that you hate mistakes. The top 3 reasons I love these videos is 1- obviously your awesome personality and pleasantly enlightening demeanor. 2- the editing is on point and makes them more fun to view. And 3- The Mistakes! I love that you're not perfect, or not faking a perfectly edited video with no issues or no trial and error. That's what happens, that's how it goes. Especially when you're trying new projects. And you "roll with the punches", "call an audible", and carry on for the win. I wish I discovered your videos sooner.
So I was watching one of your vids and you were talking about Bessey clamps and I said those are sweet and I need some. So today at Home Depot I went to see what type of clamps they had and wouldn’t you know it they had Bessey brand. side note, I’m 46 and my memory is shot already, so I looked at the clamps with excitement and then it hit me….I had bought an assortment of those clamps 3 months ago. For the love of Mary and Joseph🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Here in good old blighty we amateur carpenters use an adage "measure twice cut once" but you must have heard of it, I love the content you put out and I am now an avid viewer of your channel.
Measure twice, cut once, mutter self depricating expletives, measure three more times, cut once (well sneak up on the final cut). Stand back, exhausted, and have a beer. Yeah, been there.
Useful info!

that planer and circ saw would make me feel like a midget, and i gave them up for lent last year 😛
complaining about it getting cold in the workshop … building a new wall … putting zero insulation in 🙂
Do you still have the same obsession for timber framing after this. Or is it like one of thoes things that you respect from afar. Lol

I would have used a few snatch blocks, you could have hoisted those in place by yourself.
I've watched a lot of your videos, and this is the funniest fucking video ever
Great video and impressive woodworking but thumbs down for poor safety. 🙁

Why didn't you just cut out a gap on the back side of it to accommodate the gas line? Seems like it would've been easier than that??
