  1. do I have to tap the long side even there is no gap in between? I usually insert the long side first with no gap then tap the short side with the bar to the left. I rarely have to tap the long side. So I wonder is it okay?

  2. is there a minimum length for starting plank after second and third row? or distance from last joint is all that matter with no less than 12 inch? so I can have a 6inch board even the staggering distance is more than 12? can I just with full plank on row 5 or 6?

  3. im so glad my room is just square, thank you for this video, it halps so much, idnot wanna pay anyone to do it for me and these insturtions are so nice and clear.

  4. great video! we just ordered this exact same floor at Lowes, then came home and I found your video. I wanted to see how it looked
and I love it! (lowes is doing the install.)

  5. Anyone else here because the floor completely fell apart at the 3rd row and you were barely holding it together to begin with, and it kept sliding everywhere and now you’re sitting in the middle of an empty room someone has to move back into hating your entire life and every decision you ever made? Just me? Awesome. Don’t attempt this if your floor is uneven or your boards won’t “easily tap together” that is all 😭

  6. not the way I would fit laminate flooring, you made that look hard ,there's an easier and quicker way to fit and wouldn't ever use quarter round at a door opening,a novice mistake.

  7. I'm an old contractor and I feel like a dumbass!!! The first 2 rows kicked my butt!!! I'm determined to get it done. I am an A/C installer and don't have any experience with flooring. Your video helped me a lot thanks brother!!!

  8. I'm about to do my mother in laws room and house in total. But she has sub floor can I still use the water seal and lament we chose or is concrete slab and wood sub floor two different ball games?

  9. In my house on the 2nd floor, I want to remove carpet and put laminate floor.. in my house, the stairs are hardwood so how to determine the accurate height of the laminate plank as it should flush with stairs starting(first one from 2nd floor ) step?

  10. Why do DIY videos always look so easy? I see myself in the midst of a project like this then making 25 trips to HD looking for orange aproned workers and then returning home to realize I need one more thing. In the meantime, I slump on the floor with a good sandwich and imagine it all looking perfect.

  11. Hi, great video, but I have an issure in my closet….What do I do around the crawlspace door opening, and to the cover of it with the planks??? do I glues the planks to the crawlspace cover? How do I cut or nail or glue around the crawlspace opening??? Nobody has videos about this which is mind baffling!!!!!!

  12. Thanks for showing your mistakes, as a carpenter I was just gonna start snapping these together and cover up the ugliness on the edges when done. Glad I watched though cause I've always used a fine to cut the bottom of trim and I almost always butcher it. Def gonna pick up the flush trim saw before I start lol.

  13. Another good tip when installing is to have multiple boxes opened up because each piece in a single box usually has the same wood grain pattern so if you rotate them out you won’t have any similar grain pieces side by side. Great video though! I’m doing this in my kitchen and dining room soon and I’m really excited to see how it turns out
