  1. Nice video. I have two questions: one is about checking leaks, do you open the valve a few seconds to check leaks? if no leaks then open fully open valves, right? The other is about the master valve, you mentioned it was not recorded. But where is the master valve located? Thank you.

  2. Can you add drain pan tabs or is there an easy way to clean the drain from the mini split's air handler side if and when the drain clogges with debris? Another words can it be flushed or vacuumed even for preventative means? Thanks. Good looking system.

  3. That you have to run the drywall before the lineset… it’s a bit of a shit show. Very annoyed that I can’t just stub out my lineset. Then i could install the wall unit after drywall and painting. Whoever designed this system has no idea how normal phases of construction go. What a pain in the ass.

  4. How are you checking for leaks before the refrigerant is turned on, like the very first place in the video where you check for a leak? What's going to leak if there is no refrigerant? Are the lines themselves charged with pressurized refrigerant, so that's what would be leaking?

  5. Great video! Run the line set through the wall cavity to cover all that plastic sh** up and under the crawlspace and get away from the cheap plastic that,s sold separately 🙄 by reading the comments, it seems a few are afraid of doing a little drywall repair in the event something does happen🤔🤣🤣GREAT VIDEO!

  6. In the Video you check for leaks on the interior connections before the lines were charged…. How would soapy water indicate a leak on an uncharged line? or is the line-set actually charged as well?

  7. 13:13 – WAIT, NO VACUM PUMP?!?!?
How can you open the refrigerant WITHOUT vacuuming the system?!?
This DRAMATICALLY Reduces the compressor's life and it's a MAJOR MISTAKE and reduces the COP of the ENTIRE SYSTEM!!!

Overall very helpful video, until you get to this point 13:13. The Fact they missed this, shows how much they really know about the system.

  8. Why didn’t you vacuum the line sets down? And how can you check for leaks before positive pressure in the lines from the refrigerant. Little worried you screwed that system up.

  9. How loud are the fans?? Do you have an exact decibel or something similar I can gauge it to? Trying to have a unit installed but worried about the neighbors. houses are very close together.

  10. Did you ever do a video on the Sensibo Air? I’m installing a 2-zone mini split in a couple weeks and bring a HomeKit user I’m also considering Sensibo Air coupled with Lutron Caseta occupancy sensors.

  11. Very wrong from the start. some points you should not do.
    1. The pipe connections should be behind the unit (for future servicing) "you need access" if anything happens you need to strip your drywall?
    2. How can you leak test without nitrogen? spraying soapy water without pressure? lol
    3. You don't want a water leak inside. don't use a corrugated drain hose inside the walls. (use a PVC PIPE) that corrugated thing will build up slime and hard to clean
    4. You did not vacuum the system before releasing your refrigerants.
    5. I FORGOT YOU ARE A DIY'er lol

  12. You should've checked for leaks in the inside connection also, with the refrigerant running thru it. When you joined them there's nothing running through the lines, so you won't know if you have a leak or not.

  13. Question… I realize this is a few months old but, I am looking at these for my new woodworking shop and was wondering if you have had any issues running these in a shop environment? I'm concerned about how often filters will need cleaning and if there will be problem with the drain line clogging or any other issues that I need to be aware of that a dusty environment might cause. Thanks.
