DOGS ARE TOO WONDERFUL FOR HUMANS AND YET THEY REMAIN DEVOTED IN SPITE OF TOO MANY CRUEL SOULLESS MONSTERS. DOG IS GOD SPELLED BACKWARDS!
The soldier isn’t British and I doubt the dog was either. The Germans used dogs far more extensively and having seen them being used to guide blinded German soldiers after the war the British established Guide Dogs for the Blind
