I swear, I don’t know of any other city with so many castles, palatial homes and cathedral like churches. It seems that there was a lot of money here a few centuries ago.

I've lived in and traveled to a great many countries, seen hundreds of cities but none in my opinion come close to the beauty of Ghent. I absolutely love this place from the gothic architecture, to the people, the beef dripping fries and let's not forget the beer. I'm definitely going to retire here.
