One of my all time favorite women in the world. Rachel is so sexy & the voice to match. She was so good in Sharky’s Machine, Against All Odds, The Thorn Birds & Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid.
I knew Rachel, her sister Tracy and brother Alex, when we were children, at Cornwell (Oxfordshire) in the early 1960’s through to the mid 1970’s. Good times. I haven’t seen her for about 30 years but my sister still keeps in touch. From the age of about 16, you could see that she was always going to be a beautiful woman and she developed into a fine actress. Her husband, Bryan Brown, is a really nice chap, who’s also, of course, a very fine actor (in films such as Breaker Morant, F/X, The Thorn Birds etc. etc).
Rachel Ward is gorgeous in that pic! I remember when she did the Thornbirds with Barbara Stanwyck and Richard Chamberlain. That was the most sensual movie she did as a young actress. Very alluring scenes of seduction and passion. She really is a great actress plus her real-life husband was in the Thornbirds. Great miniseries. She was successful in other movies and was entertaining in anything she portrayed as an actress.
She is very beautiful, after her big success of Thorn Birds, she made a couple of movies, and never heard since. Too bad, she was very talented lady. 👌❤️
