A classic for all times, may Paul and ray rest in peace.ps wish they could of made a second movie but, all thumbs up God bless the whole cast everyone in making the movie.
LOL I have all the godfather movies and also this one of course love them all though I have to say I am half Sicilian and half polish My dad was Sicilian and growing up with him was like having a marine sargeant he was strick even our beds had to have military conners he would check and if they weren’t he would make us fix it again …Don’t know why I like these movies for it makes italians look bad, though some italians ask what kind am I when I tell them they say to me then your not italian ……….don’t see the difference.
Timeless classic. Just started watching the Sopranos and was delighted to see many of the Goodfellas actors in it. I will loose many happy hours watching it!
I had dinner at an Italian dinner 30 years ago. Joe Pesci was our waiter. I was confused so I asked him why he was waiting tables? He said he was Joe’s stand-in in the movies. I could not believe the extraordinary resemblance.
I’ve read many gangster books. One of the best was “My Life in the Mafia” by Vincent Teressa. It was an unglamorous look at the lifestyle. I’ve seen every gangster movie ever made. Now that I’m older and I’ve seen pictures of the actual men portrayed in Goodfellas and noted the sheer brutality portrayed in the movie I’m a bit repulsed. It takes real evil to shove an ice pick into the back of a man’s head
Can someone tell me that De NIRO is not a Mafia godfather in real life? How can he play that characters with that masteries anyway. One of the greatest Actor ever.🎥🎬👍🏾
I guess I’m old now, this one Casino, A Bronx tale. Scarface, Untouchables. The Godfather Trilogy. (Well not Number III) The villachi papers, and many more made up my favorite Genre. Still love the cinematic artistry. But can’t see them as more than thugs.
One of the greatest films ever! Still hurts knowing Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino are gone…truly two of the best. May they continue to rest in peace.
