Interesting approach. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper did it in A star is born, Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire nailed it in Funny Face too! This could be interesting. Until more info unfolds, let’s see where this goes. I never bash anything before I see it. It’s a simple tactic and it has worked for as long as I can remember

Turning it into a musical is definitely something different. It should be embraced.
Remember how the OG film makes it clear that since the Joker is an unreliable narrator, you simply don’t know what’s real.
That allows for all sorts of scenarios. Even the most absurd – not to mention crazy – events and story beats. Everything goes.
It’s a rather genius move.
