I was on this set as a little boy when they shot this in the State of Durango, in Mexico. We were there the day the bridge got blown up.
Coincidentally, my father, a Dr., was flown onto the set that very day because Ernest Borgnine had cut his hand while using one of the guns.
Hell yes. Borgnine had a cast on while filming. It’s why he does the “duck and roll” move when they run out of the bank.

One hell of film. The title sequence features the kids trapping a scorpion within fire… pretty much like the bunch.
There’s still unreleased footage from this one. Saw it at a private screening in 72.
