They say your a hard put and desperate man Josey Wales and their gonna heel and hide you to a barn door. You know what I say? That big talk ain’t worth doodle squat!
My favorite. The original director was fired and Eastwood took over and directed it himself. Eastwood considers this picture to be his best work and from a historical aspect it does present a good picture of what went on during the Kansas Missouri border war which was a war in itself during the Civil War.
My son is really into westerns right now so we have been working our way through Clint’s “Dollars” trilogy. I’ve been trying to get him to watch this with me but I ended up watching it by myself, since the first time I saw it in the theater.
Most of it, particularly the scene with Ten Bears, went way over my head when I was 10, but 46 years later it resonates.
One of the greatest movies ever. So many truths woven through the entire movie. Surprised it isn’t censored. Love Granny Hawkins and note what happens when you give up your guns to the government!
Arguably one of best Westerns ever made. It had it all , outlaw, good guys, bad guys, gun fights vengence and redemption. In my opinion, Clint Eastwoods finest performance
