  1. On the front and back sides, did you use hardee board, then plywood, then tar paper/lathe, then mortar coat, then scratch coat?

  2. Under grills where the propane tanks sits, needs venting to let any gas escape. Worse thing to do is build a tight box with stone. If it let's loose, that stone will fly everywhere. I put stainless stamped grills on the back of mine and they have to be sized for the cubic feet of the storage cabinet.

  3. 14:05 fun fact, any company has to prove that what you did actually caused an issue—if you were to make a warranty claim for something defective. Companies don’t want you to know this though.

  4. really should not be building that out of lumber. Steel stud around the grill at least on sides and below 14" should be maintained. I see this all the time and am hopeful nothing burns down.

  5. Really want to do something like this but concerned about covering the flat top.

Any plans to incorporate a cover for the cooktop so that it doesn’t rust out every time it rains?

  6. Did you use pressure treated wood when building the out side kitchen? didn't look like it, rather seal the wood before you add cement or cladding to it so it rejects water and does not rot

  7. I’m loving this exact set up for my outdoor kitchen. A question though…. how exactly did you modify the Pit Boss griddle to fit? I know you removed the legs but did you cut off the griddle’s little metal “stubs” that the legs attached to? How has the performance of the griddle been impacted? I worry about proper airflow. One last question – how has the grease clean up been on this model?

  8. The stone work to me as diyer is so tedious and time consuming. I have had some success using vinyl plank flooring, there are patterns aplenty to choose from. It does look kind of fake close up but back away and it looks pretty good and backer board has become my best friend.

  9. Whats funny is that your wife is just sitting in the back ground just on her phone not paying attention. Then you just call on her for the raffle and she says "no". Thats probably the funniest part of the video tbh.

  10. Do you use a cover for the griddle? If so, what kind? I’m planning to do the same type thing. It appears that the regular cover that you can buy would be way to big once the legs of the griddle are removed.
