  1. Truly a wonderful actor, who by his sheer talent reached enviable heights in a field where the coloured skin was never welcomed. He was instrumental in paving way for all the talents that followed. Rest in peace great one.

  2. Loved him in ‘Guess who’s coming to dinner’ When his girl friend took him home to meet her parents. Their faces played by Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn were amazing. He told her Mother to sit down before she collapsed. It was so, so funny. Wonderful Film.

  4. What a great human being and God bless his Mother for not giving up on him when he was born premature, without access to a hospital or incubators and was so little a funeral director wanted to bury him in a shoe box. I truly believe SHE should be honored as well.
