There was a Kay Bee Toy Store inside the Valley River Center mall in Eugene. But I never bought anything there. Too expensive. I shopped K-Mart and Bi-Mart instead.
I was 10 years old at that time, and I couldn’t even dream about a set of Ninja Turtles or a Nintendo. In fact, I didn’t even know that such things existed. I was standing in huge lines along with my parents or on my own, just trying to get some basic groceries. This is how great life was in the ex ussr
I was 17…never had a Gameboy. Or even a Nintendo for that matter. I was more interested in a car of my own.
I remember really wanting little miss makeup! But I sure did love my Turtles!
I miss KB Toys. That was mt favorite store in the mall
Wow, with inflation calculated, Nes is about 238 usd. Not much different with switch price
There was a Kaybee in Springfield MA it was so fun as a kid – almost as fun as Toys R Us.
Coca-Cola and Pizza Hut were both better back then.
I got that very game boy bundle for Christmas that year
Interestingly enough Game Boys were cheaper than most game systems are today and also held up better!
Still got my Nintendo
Lol I had that gameboy combo!
When it was cheaper to hire an artist than print a photo
Yo I had that Micro Machine Chinook. I’ve bought a bunch of the ones I had back on eBay for my son now.
That store was always chaos.
Military micro machines were my jam!!!
I seriously remember this exact same ad. I went through it over & over!
