A good movie-too simple and straight forward for a lot a the younger generation viewer-and idealistic but still a very watchable movie-one of my favorite “ war” movies
The book was much better, as is often the case. I remember a story that Bob Hope relayed. During the time “The Young Lions” was being filmed, Hope met Dean Martin in Paris. Martin said that after working with Marlon Brando and Montgomery Clift (two moody and sometimes difficult actors), he just had to get away and meet some “normal” people!! 😂😂

Difficult film to watch thought Marlon and Dean were miss cast

Writer Irwin Shaw’s thoughtful, at times tragic drama of men at war. Again, Holkwood talent but no real acting interaction among them.
