Ireland, Cliffs of Moher – (Cliffs Of Moher)
On the west coast of Ireland in County Clare is one of the most popular and picturesque places of the island – the cliffs of Moher.
A ridge of rectangular coastal cliffs, washed by the Atlantic Ocean, extends along the coast for 8 km.
They got their name in honor of Fort “Mothar”, which was destroyed during the Napoleonic Wars so that a signal tower was built in its place.
The famous Irish cliffs formed as early as 6 thousand years BC. and still delight us with its splendor.
