Over 20 feet in diameter and 200 feet tall, the huge “Western Red Cedar” is believed to have been more than 1,000 years old.
Poor tree, wish it was still here today.
What was that for
Am I right in saying none of these old giants are still around?
when was this tree cut down?
Perfect image of the human race going in the wrong direction
very cool.. love those old pictures
Is it still there?
Because it was far too difficult to go around it 🙄
Air cooled Franklin.
Can you imagine if they were still there amongst the modern world..
How hard would it be to just drive around it?
so daft we were, felling those ancient trees just because we could. But that is us humans. Daft.
That looks like a really large percentage of the trunk missing. Do you think that eventually killed the tree?
I live a couple blocks off hwy 101 in Washington..Any idea what town ?
This stump was moved to a rest area near Marysville WA. It is still there. I saw it just last week
For all you city people: a stump is the bottom part of the tree that is already cut down…quit your whining and belly-achin’!
The way it’s laid out, it almost looks like a tunnel on one of those Vintage Car rides you see at amusement parks! :v
wouldnt it have been easier to just go around it
