I remember Cassius Clay , then Vietnam war, he was called a draft dodger at that time

Ali was simply performing “Get Back”….
I had a white friend who was christened with a very common name by her parents who changed her name to something more distinctive with the same initials. No one ever reminded her of what she used to be called or questioned the validity of what she chose to call herself.
